PlacesToStay is being developed to help you choose a base for a trip across the UK, with the beauty of each place as the starting point. We connect the setting that draws you in with practical advice about choosing a base.

This is an early preview

Our current destination guides include researched base comparisons, trip plans and accommodation shortlists, with sources and review dates. Regional guides help you choose between places; town and village guides look more closely at the base itself. Property information comes from linked official sources, with the review date on each card. We have not stayed in or inspected these properties. We do not display live prices or availability, take bookings or publish guest ratings.

Thoughtful recommendations

We choose shortlist entries to illustrate different locations and practical needs, rather than rank properties from best to worst. Official website links earn us no commission, and no payment has been received for inclusion. We check factual claims against operator sources and ask visitors to confirm their exact requirements directly. Property photographs will be added only when we have suitable usage rights. Any future affiliate relationships will be disclosed clearly.

This preview has no analytics, cookies, booking forms or advertising scripts. Search runs in your browser. Our hosting server records routine access and error logs, including IP addresses and requested pages, for security and operation. Logs rotate daily and are retained for up to 14 rotations. We do not use them for advertising or visitor profiling.
