Have breakfast in the way your booking requires and return to a favourite town stop before travelling. If you want a more distant Cairngorms visit, give it another day rather than attaching it to a tight train departure.

Is Craigellachie an easy-access walk?
Not every route or approach suits everyone. NatureScot describes steep, rough and muddy sections. Read the trail information and choose a route for your mobility and the weather.
Can I leave the car at the reserve overnight?
NatureScot says not to leave vehicles overnight in the youth-hostel car park used for reserve visits. Arrange overnight parking with the accommodation instead.
