Keep the morning local and leave time to collect bags and reach the train or car. A final café stop may fit better than another timed attraction.
Less time? For one night, choose one city attraction and a seafront walk. Brighton’s shingle beach is part of the setting, but an enjoyable short break need not depend on a swimming day.
