Belfast: city culture and an arrival base

Less time? For one night, choose one city or landscape base and stay close to it. A longer coastal tour can justify changing hotels, but reserve time for the stops and evenings instead of treating the route as a race between rooms.

It is useful for a city break and selected excursions. Choose Portrush, Newcastle or Enniskillen when you would otherwise repeat the journey to the coast, Mournes or lakelands each day.

Can I visit without a car?

Plan the actual route with Translink rather than assuming every rural stop is served equally. Check the last connection, the hotel transfer and any separate transport for a boat trip or trailhead.

Is the Causeway Coastal Route a single day-trip attraction?

No. It is a route linking many towns, landscapes and visits. Choose a section for a short stay or allow several days when the journey itself is the purpose.

Does a family room or lodge include leisure access?
