BEFORE YOU CHOOSE
Chirk station is about a quarter-mile from the estate gates, but the National Trust says the castle is about 1½ miles from the station in total. Follow signs to Home Farm ticket office before the final steep approach to the castle.
From Chirk follow National Trust signs, not a sat-nav shortcut. At the white Davies gates continue to the right; the visitor entrance is farther along and parking is at Home Farm.
