A gate at the bottom of the garden links to the Coast Path when Coleton Fishacre is open. You must continue to Visitor Reception on arrival, and the valley route includes steep ground.
Does a Dartmouth ferry land at Coleton?
No. The Lower Ferry crosses to Kingswear; Coleton Fishacre is another road or footpath journey beyond. Plan that leg rather than treating the ferry as direct access.
Can I go down to Pudcombe Cove?
National Trust says the cove itself is not accessible. The garden and coast path offer views of the shore and the old tidal pool from above.
What if the garden slope is difficult?
The garden and surrounding coast are steep in places. National Trust lists a Tramper for advance hire; contact the property before booking if a powered mobility route matters.
