Yes. The Trust says all guided underground tours must be pre-booked and carry a separate fee, including for National Trust members.

The Victorian route has steep steps and rocky ground. The shorter Level Tour enters from the mine yard without steps and suits some visitors with limited mobility; read the Trust’s route descriptions before booking.
The Trust provides a hard hat and lamp for underground visits and requires stout, enclosed footwear. The outdoor woodland routes can also be muddy.
