Return to Richmond's riverfront or St James's Park near the central-London base before departure. This keeps the final morning flexible instead of adding a second ticketed garden.

BEFORE YOU CHOOSE
Victoria Gate is the nearest pedestrian entrance. Kew Gardens station serves the Richmond branch of the District line and the Mildmay line; Kew Bridge is a different station serving Elizabeth Gate.
Kew currently lists Lion Gate as weekends-only from 2 November to 29 January. On weekdays use Victoria, Elizabeth or Brentford Gate instead, and allow for the changed approach.
It is listed as closed for renovation until spring 2027. The Natural Area Board Walk and Ice House also have closures, so use the current list when deciding which parts of the gardens matter most to you.
No lockers or baggage storage are available. Arrange storage with your accommodation before using Kew as a departure-day outing.
Kew warns that its westbound platform has no level access. Its guidance describes continuing to Richmond and returning to the eastbound platform; consider the complete journey and entrance route, not just a station label.
