Yes on weekends and during school holidays: the National Trust requires advance admission booking for everyone using its car park, including members. The car park is only for admission-ticket holders; Sevenoaks town parking is the option for a park-only walk.
The Outdoor & Tower ticket covers the Gatehouse Tower and outdoor visitor areas, while the Showrooms, Outdoor & Tower ticket adds the historic rooms. The Venetian Bedroom is currently closed for maintenance, so check the available room route.
The National Trust estimates about 30 minutes to Knole through Sevenoaks town, uphill. Webb’s Alley provides another town-to-park path but has steep sections. Park paths can be rough or grassy.
Use TN13 1HX for the main vehicle entrance off Sevenoaks High Street opposite St Nicholas Church; the property’s postal postcode may send sat-nav elsewhere. Book admission first if you need the National Trust car park.
