More about staying near M&S Bank Arena

A show at M&S Bank Arena can anchor a Liverpool waterfront break without making the whole visit about finding a room by the entrance. Hope Street adds a Georgian Quarter evening; Stanley Dock offers a warehouse-hotel stay farther north. Both require a deliberate journey to King's Dock. The three dock names matter here: the arena is at King's Dock, Royal Albert Dock is the neighbouring visitor waterfront, and Stanley Dock is a different hotel district.

FIND YOUR BASE

Choose a base for M&S Bank Arena

Hope Street, Liverpool

Hope Street gives the stay a restaurant-and-neighbourhood evening between Liverpool's cathedrals, with the arena reached separately on the waterfront.

Good for: A city weekend with the show as its main occasion.

Before you choose: The room is inland from King's Dock; plan the return rather than assuming every central address is at the arena.

Stanley Dock

Stanley Dock makes the hotel's warehouse setting part of the trip and suits a stay with time beyond the performance.

Good for: A distinctive hotel stay alongside the arena event.

Before you choose: This dock is north of the central waterfront and separate from King's Dock; transport remains necessary to the arena.

Make it your kind of break

ROMANTIC BREAKS

Keep the waterfront as a separate pleasure

The Pier Head and Royal Albert Dock give a concert trip a daytime riverfront chapter. Avoid trying to cover them while watching the clock for admission.

FAMILY BREAKS

Give children a city story

Museum of Liverpool provides an indoor look at the city beyond the performance. Use its current visitor information when fitting a museum visit around the event.

A LITTLE ROOM TO EXPLORE

A short stay around M&S Bank Arena

Begin in your chosen hotel district, move to King's Dock for the show, and explore the Pier Head waterfront with daylight and less time pressure.

  1. Arrive on Hope Street or at Stanley Dock

Settle into the actual hotel district and enjoy a meal before travelling to the event waterfront.

  2. Find the King's Dock entrance

Use the venue and door printed on the ticket, keeping the arena distinct from The Auditorium and the surrounding exhibition spaces.

  3. Explore Museum of Liverpool and Pier Head

On the following day, choose the museum for the city's story and a short waterfront walk before collecting luggage from your hotel.

Less time? For one brief night, keep the hotel meal and show; take only a short waterfront walk if there is not enough time for the museum.

BEFORE YOU CHOOSE

A few useful details

Where should I head after arriving at Lime Street?

M&S Bank Arena is on the King's Dock waterfront, not at Lime Street station. The venue identifies local transport and Liverpool ONE bus station as useful approaches; choose the final route around your hotel and bags.

Does every ticket use the same door?

No. Arena entry points include Cityside, Riverside and Floor entrances. The Auditorium uses the Cityside ACC Liverpool Galleria. Follow the venue and entrance on your own ticket.

Can I bring an overnight case?

The arena asks visitors to avoid bags, allowing only a small essential bag no larger than A4 under its general policy. It has no left-luggage facility; medical and young-child changing needs have exemptions.

Can I refill a water bottle?

The arena's current water guidance permits empty bottles for filling at the venue's fountains, including those on the concourse. Check any additional event-specific restrictions before travelling.

Should I download tickets before arriving?

Yes. The arena offers its own app for storing and managing tickets, and warns that crowd-related connectivity can be slow. Have the correct ticket format ready before joining the entrance queue.
