Sheringham Hall is tenanted on a long lease and, according to the National Trust, opens only by written appointment. An ordinary park visit is for Repton’s landscape, Wild Garden, Temple, Bower Garden and coast-facing paths.
The National Trust gives Upper Sheringham, NR26 8TL, with the main road entrance at the A148/B1157 junction. Its visitor centre and car park are inland; Sheringham town station is not the park entrance.
Yes, if you are prepared for a separate walk. The National Trust describes the Bittern Line arrival at Sheringham and about two miles from town to the Upper Sheringham entrance. Confirm the route and daylight for your return.
No. The published woodland-and-coastal circuit is seven miles with slopes, wet sections, cliff edge and deep ponds, and the National Trust says it is unsuitable for wheelchairs or buggies. For a shorter visit use the mapped Wild Garden and accessible section from the car park; do not assume the whole circuit is suitable.
Non-members pay to use the National Trust car park; members register their visit. Dogs must be on leads from March through July to protect nesting birds and at other times follow designated-area guidance. The Bower Garden is dog-free.
